The Hackers Cup Golf Classic is an invitation only golf tournament played by the finest recreational golfers in the nation. It is a 36 hole, four-man, best ball scramble. The winning team gets the privilege of donning the prestigious Mud and Maroon Blazers as well as achieving golf immortality by having their names etched on the coveted Hackers Cup Trophy (widely considered to be the Stanley Cup of recreational golf tournaments).

    In years past, we have done a 36 hole, best ball scramble. This year, in order to create a more level playing field and foster fellowship and community, we are introducing a two part tournament.

    Instead of signing up as a four-man scramble, you will be signing up as a two-man scramble (so just you and your partner of choice). You can still request to be paired up with another twosome you know for the first 18, but you will only scramble as a twosome. For the first 18 holes we will all be competing for highly coveted Silver Boot Trophy. The two man team with the lowest score after 18 holes will be the winner and their names immortalized on the Silver Boot.

    After the first 18 holes, each team will be ranked from lowest score to highest score. For the second 18 holes, the lowest scoring team will be paired with the highest scoring team to create a four-man team. The second lowest scoring team will be paired with the second highest scoring team, and so on until every two-man team is now a four man team. The four-man team with the lowest score after the second 18 holes is declared the winner and gets their name on the illustrious Hackers Cup Trophy and can finally don the incomparably handsome Hackers Cup Jackets.
